Rest assured, the roof on this years Super Bowl stadium, the U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, will have a good chance of staying put..unlike it’s predecessor, the Metrodome, which collapsed in December 2010. The stadium features a new roof made of a material that let’s snow fall into a gigantic snow gutter. The stadium is also the first NFL stadium to be built with LED sports lighting, is certified LEED Gold, and is tracking energy use through benchmarking.
