Smart Buildings Exchange (SBX) – November 9-10, 2026
This year’s Smart Buildings Exchange (SBX) Fall Conference focuses on a defining challenge for our industry: how to capitalize on innovation and accelerate smart buildings adoption in a rapidly changing environment. In a world of rising costs, AI, evolving expectations, connected building systems, and growing building and cybersecurity concerns, the need for smarter, more resilient, and more scalable solutions has never been clearer. SBX 2026 will bring together leaders from across the built environment to examine what is driving progress, what is holding it back, and what it will take to move from promising innovation to widespread implementation. Meanwhile, the accompanying SBX Plus virtual series will deliver practical, solution-focused sessions that dive into the technologies, strategies, and real-world applications that are already making an impact in buildings today.

Smart Buildings Week – Sept 14-17, 2020
In place of the planned in-person Smart Buildings Exchange 2020 event, we hosted a free Virtual Smart Buildings Week September 14th-17th, 2020. Each day during the lunch hour, a virtual session crafted from key topics and speaker commitments for our planned in-person event featured a lively and interactive panel discussion.
These one-hour sessions each qualify for 1 Building Operator Certification (BOC) credential maintenance point and 0.10 IACET CEUs towards the renewal of industry certifications, certificates and licenses including but not limited to AIA, PE, LEED, IFMA, ASHRAE, and AEE.
‘Why Smart Buildings?’ Executive Forum Series
The ‘Why Smart Buildings?’ Executive Forum series highlights real world examples of smart buildings technology applications and practices and explores how they improve building performance, increase tenant and occupant productivity, enhance security, and provide sustained operational cost savings.
