SBX Session Highlight: Grid-Interactive Efficient Buildings as a Utility Resource

July 1, 2024 By SBC staff

Rapidly reducing the carbon content of utility resources while maintaining resource adequacy and grid reliability is a challenge for electric utilities across the country. Programs for demand flexibility and particularly grid-interactive efficient buildings (GEBs) will be key to successfully integrating large amounts of renewable energy into the grid. This panel, featuring Albert Chiu (Pacific Gas & Electric Company), Jingjing Liu (Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory), Mark Martinez (Southern California Edison), and Brittainy Pond (Puget Sound Energy), will discuss the efforts by a number of utility leaders across the United States in deploying demand flexibility/GEBs as a central strategy for their future.

Happy Earth Day 2024!

April 22, 2024 By SBC staff

Earth Day is an excellent time to consider the impact we can all have on creating a greener future for ourselves and our planet, and building owners and operators are in a great position to pave the way toward a cleaner energy tomorrow. Students of theBOC.info know that the impact they have today saves energy, money, and reduce the amount of carbon we add to the atmosphere. What does that look like in terms of energy? Let’s take a look below…

That’s a big deal! Why not make this the year? Check out the courses page for more information on how you can get started with the BOC and become part of a greener, cleaner tomorrow.  You can find more info about training, certification, and continuing education over on theBOC.info.
