CalFlexHub 2026, April 15

The CalFlexHub Final Symposium, to be heldĀ April 15 at 8 a.m. – 6 p.m. PT, will highlight information on the latest research and developments in load flexibility and showcase CalFlexHub’s portfolio of projects. Featured speakers include the California Energy Commission, utility specialists and industry innovators advancing price-responsive load flexible technologies.Ā

Since its launch in 2021, CalFlexHub has been at the forefront of assessing research pathways, developing metrics, and accelerating the commercial adoption of load flexible technologies. This final symposium aims to showcase the program’s achievements, offer updates on CalFlexHub’s portfolio of demonstration projects; foster discussions on the latest pilots, research, and technological developments in load flexibility; and facilitate knowledge sharing from sector leaders. The symposium focuses on solution-centered conversations designed to address the various barriers to scaled adoption, emphasizing advancing these technologies and supporting ecosystems for all Californians. Smart Buildings Exchange 2026 Update

Please save the date for the Smart Buildings Exchange (SBX) 2026 in-person Fall Conference on November 9-10, 2026 in downtown Seattle! Registration, sponsorship and exhibitor opportunities, and a call for session topics and speakers will open soon, but for now we’d like to call your attention to the year-round virtual component of the event, the SBX Plus Virtual Series.

We invite you to register for the first SBX Plus Virtual Session on Wednesday, February 18th from 11am-12pm Pacific Time on Thermal Energy Networks as a Driver for Building Decarbonization. Experts from McKinstry and the Building Decarbonization Coalition will share insights on how thermal energy networks enable efficient heating and cooling while significantly reducing building-related carbon emissions. Register at the link below to learn how these systems integrate with electrification strategies and support long-term decarbonization goals for campuses, districts, and portfolios.
