Building Tour: Bringing Smart to Existing Buildings

Join the Smart Buildings Center and Siemens on a guided Smart Buildings Tour of the Fred Hutch Cancer Research Center campus on Wednesday, November 6th, 2019.Ā  Bob Cowan, Facilities Director for Fred Hutch, will provide a guided tour of the facility and will showcase smart technologies that have been implemented throughout the campus.Ā  During the tour, Bob will provide insights on how these smart technologies have improved the overall operability of the building, and increased productivity and building efficiency.Ā 

When: Wednesday, November 6th, 2019

One week until the next Why Smart Buildings event – don’t forget to register!

This is your last chance to register forĀ the ‘Why Smart Buildings? Creating a Compelling Business Case” on September 17th at the Pacific Tower from 11:30am – 2pm.

We will be discussing the latest in smart technologies during an expert (and unbiased!) panel discussion focusing on the business case for smart building technologies.Ā  This will be a fantastic event and we hope to see you there!

After the event concludes, we will also be hosting a Tool Lending Library Open House along with AESP Evergreen Chapter, we hope you can join us for some drinks and apps!

The Tool Lending Library Open House is free to attend and we will hear from tool manufacturer, Fluke, to provide a demonstration on some of the tools we offer through the library, like our IR camera, as well as a brand new leak detecting tool for compressed air or other gasses.Ā  Find out about energy savings opportunities during this demonstration directly from the manufacturer!

ENERGY STAR Benchmarking Workshop – July 31

The City of Seattle is offeringĀ a freeĀ Energy Benchmarking 101Ā trainingĀ for participants that are new to the energy benchmarking process or want a refresher.Ā

Seattle’s Energy Benchmarking Program (SMC 22.920) requires owners of non-residential and multifamily buildings (20,000 sf or larger) to track energy performance and annually report to the City of Seattle.
