WSSHE Puget Sound Presents Future of Building Operations Profession Webinar

January 8, 2018 By SBC

According to demographic information from the International Facility Management Association (IFMA), the average age of facilities managers is in the 50s, so many people will be retiring within 10 to 15 years. Qualified workers are needed to replace the retirees, but there is a lack of qualified facilities engineering and maintenance trained workers in the job market today. Companies will be at a major disadvantage if they don’t have a structured training program in place to address this workforce reduction.

Join us for an educational webinar designed for Owners, Managers, and Supervisors. Learning objectives include:

  • Learn steps your company can follow to take control of these concerns by utilizing training and certification programs through associations, local colleges, and government.
  • Find ways to address barriers to establishing a training program.

SPEAKER:
Duane Lewellen – Program Director, Smart Buildings Center Tool Lending Library, BOC Instructor

DATE:
Wednesday January 24, 2018
12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m.

Register for the webinar here.

Completion of the webinar qualifies for one BOC maintenance point.
