Why Smart Buildings Executive Forum: Deciphering Between Hype vs. Reality

Our next Why Smart Buildings event will not be one to miss. The focus will be on deciphering between hype versus reality and how we can set ourselves up for success in the smart buildings world. Bert Van Hoof, Group Program Manager at Azure IoT and a Partner at Microsoft, will provide the keynote during lunch. Jake Oster who leads Energy Policy for Amazon will also moderate a local panel to address the reality of implementing smart technologies in the PNW. Luminaire Level Lighting Controls help Seattle office building achieve aggressive energy savings and building system integration

Seattle’s Pacific Tower was an iconic building with a big facility maintenance challenge: its older systems were inefficient and falling short of occupants’ expectations. After the Washington Department of Commerce signed a 30-year lease for the building, the team wanted to implement bold system upgrades and energy conservation measures to bring the building into the modern era and provide a better experience for occupants.
